Hamsa with Birkat haBayit and the Israeli national bird and plant

This is an hamsa with the home blessing Birkat haBayit and the national bird and plant of Israel.

The Israeli national bird is the hoopoe (Upupa epops). It was selected in May 2008 after an election held by the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel at which 155,000 citizens participated. Once it was common in Israel but it is now very rare.

The Israeli national flower is the red anemone (Anemone coronaria), selected in  November 2013 after an election by the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel.
