The origin of the new, modern synagogue goes back to 1992 when the Jewish Community of Santiago acquired the Merkaz Kehilati (Community Center). The old synagogue of the Community, located on Serrano Street was built in 1953 and demolished in 2010. Today, today all are held all community activities. The community follows the Conservative Movement.
