“The Boat” exhibited in Sao Paulo, Brazil

As part of a joint exhibition Naufrágios – Gravadores de Valparaíso, my linocut “The Boat” is being exhibited in Sao Paulo at Gravura Brasileira. It runs from 10 August 2019 to 14 September 2019. The exhibition is my members of the printing workshop Casaplan in Valparaiso, Chile, and includes works by:

Aldo Bravo, Ana María Cabello, Andrea Pino, Anita Tuma, Carolina Bilemberg, Carolina Sepulveda, Claudia Riquelme, Daniela Stevenson, Diana Gonzalez, Ethel Presser, Gabriela Robin, Ivone Picó, Jaime Morera, Javiera Moreira, Josefina Borja, Lancelott Belaunde, Laura Aguirre, Luis Cano, Marko Molina, Pamela Dominguez, Pamela Sáez, Raúl Besoain, Roberto Acosta, Silvana Yagnam, Silvia Escobar, Stephan Funck e Vladimir Morgado.

The exhibition discusses the Wreck as a metaphor of a city that is submerged through images of the Porteño imaginary: architecture, the relationship of citizens with the sea and the city as a historical heritage.
