This is a linocut of my papercut of the home blessing “You shall be blessed when you come, and you shall be blessed when you depart” (Devarim / Deuteronomy 28.6) with thistle and clover in Art Nouveau style.
Linocut, hand-printed using a spoon.
Black & white edition of 25 on either Japanese Washi paper or 100% cotton rag paper.
Blue edition of 25 on 100% cotton rag paper.
The typography of the text follows “Frankruhlya” typography by Oded Ezer, an Israeli artist and type designer. Thistle and clover is a quite widespread theme in Art Nouveaux, especially in Scotland. The design follows a book cover by Reuter, 1902.
